ThumbsPlus WebClient Main Window Contents
Back

The WebClient Main Window consists of 4 sections: Toolbar, Folder Tree, Preview Pane and Thumbnail View.

The WebClient Toolbar is a simplified version of the ThumbsPlus toolbar. Toolbar icons are available for viewing, properties, uploading, finding files, slide shows, printing, folder back and forward, preferences, help and exit. The access to these functions can be restricted on the server side at the group level.

The WebClient Folder Tree contains of three possible groups: Drives, Found Lists, and Galleries. The display of these groups is controlled by the user preferences settings. Access to change user preferences is configured on the server at the group level. Navigation on the folder tree is similar to that of ThumbsPlus. Tree entries maybe expanded by clicking on the [+] symbol and collapsed by clicking on the [-] symbol. To display the contents of a folder tree entry, simply click on the entry itself.

The WebClient Thumbnail View is also similar to ThumbsPlus. The thumbnail view header bar displays the name of the database and path that is being displayed. There are also controls to allow the selection of which file types to display, what information to display with each thumbnail, and how to sort the list.

The WebClient Preview Pane acts like the preview pane in ThumbsPlus. Once a thumbnail is selected with a mouse click, the image is loaded and displayed in the preview area. Single clicking on the preview image will open the image in a View Window (second browser window). As with ThumbsPlus, images can be opened for display and printing in the WebClient. Double click on a thumbnail to open the View Window.
